Mission: To promote commerce for Port Jefferson Retailers through direct business to business networking. We will coordinate revenue generating events geared directly towards retailers, discuss advertising and marketing strategies, share business information or insights to help each other cut expenses and lastly communicate with each other to address concerns or issues occurring in the village.
Monthly Agenda: Discuss and brainstorm new business stimulating ideas for commerce in Port Jefferson Village. Share cost effective ideas with each other. Address issues and concerns going on with commerce in the village.
Membership Guidelines: Open to Port Jefferson Village retailers only. Cost of membership is free. Solicitation of services is strictly prohibited in the association.
Meetings: Once a month on the last Thursday of each month at 8am.
Location: Will vary each month, dependent upon participating member’s willingness to host the meeting.
Purpose: To promote Port Jefferson Village businesses through various means of marketing and new events. By meeting once a month to discuss issues, concerns and new commerce driven events the retailer community in Port Jefferson will have a unified voice to promote commerce in the village. An association such as this will act as a unified voice to the Village and its committees and also as a liaison to other organizations such as the Port Jefferson Chamber of Commerce. This will aid us in addressing our concerns and allow us to have promotional events that will stimulate the retail community directly. These monthly meetings will give us a general consensus and agreement on issues and events to allow our businesses in the village to flourish and prosper.
