The Maker Movement is a social movement with an artisan spirit, a technology-influenced DIY community with a love of making for making sake, playful learning, and entrepreneurial exploration. By combining innovation and creativity, Makers are dedicated to creating their own market ecosystem, in which they develop new products and services for any and every reason under the sun. An important part of the idea of this movement is that it is based on the ideal that anyone can be a maker. While many makers are professionals coming from the areas of engineering or research, even more are hobbyists and amateurs!
